Lag When Selecting Checkbox Answers

created 3 years ago (modified 3 years ago)

Hi SurveyJS team,

Edit: should only be visible to surveyjs support. Selector doesn't appear to be working. Will add JSON file when visibility is changed.

I'm using your service to host a survey on a NodeJS app with knockout.

I recently noticed lag when selecting checkbox answers in the survey. It'll take a moment for the checkbox to highlight, and if a question becomes visible based on that selection, that question will take a moment to load as well. The lag is worse when testing the survey on your site (vs. on AWS).

I've attached the JSON I use to build the survey. Right now I'm running survey.ko.js v1.8.61. I tried your latest survey.ko.js release as well, though that did not make any difference.

Do you have any suggestions regarding how to reduce the lag? Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Thank you,
Arman

Hi Andrew, I'm happy to report a shutdown and reboot solved the issue.

Seems like this wasn't a surveyJS issue, but I'm curious if you have any thoughts regarding why this might have happened. Maybe it was related to chrome? I will say my computer hadn't been shut down for probably ~1 week.

I deleted the JSON file. So long as the plunker is disabled, please feel free to make this publicly visible so others can benefit.

        Thanks for the help,
        Arman

          Great!
Well, it happens time to time. We are a client library and if something happens with the performance on the client, we can't do anything. However, we keep performance issues seriously and if the problem on our side, then we do our best to fix them.
I have deleted the plunker as well.

          Thank you,
          Andrew
